One of our most basic yet complex symbol, the cross is a universal cosmic symbol from the most remote times. The round in the middle are a form of lodge cross and represent a sacred space, and a cosmic center. The four directions represent the totality of the Great Spirit.

Humanity met Divinity in the form of Christ. Early Christians saw the symbolism of the cross and his literal crucifixion a fitting icon for the new religion.
